JOB SUMMARY
The
Senior Accountant is a key member of the organization’s staff responsible for supporting
the in-house accounting & Finance functions. Reporting to the CFO, this multi-task
position is responsible for accurate and timely completion of financial
reporting, bookkeeping, administration of accounts receivable, accounts
payable, construction job costing, and other related business records for the organization.
GENERAL ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintenance of general ledger, generation of financial statements, reconciliation of accounts, and support of annual audit
2. Accounts receivable duties
3. Accounts payable duties
4. Supporting the month-end closing process
5. Assist leadership in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including WIP and job costing
6. Other duties as assigned to support daily business needs
CONSTRUCTION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support maintenance of construction project budgets
2. Maintain vendor records
3. Pay applications
4. Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing/collecting
5. Other duties assigned to support project finance needs
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field.
• 3-5 years of total accounting experience required—General Ledger, A/R, A/P.
• 1-2 years of experience in construction accounting preferred.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
•
Proficiency in MS Suite including Excel. MS Project experience
preferred.
•
Proficiency with ERP Systems or Accounting Software. Sage 100
experience preferred.
•
Proven attention to detail. Ability to anticipate and solve
problems. Ability to juggle multiple priorities and multi-task.
• Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner.
• Ability to commute to our Apopka office as needed.
